I tried, without success, to find some nice American flags to pin on my lapels.  Everything I saw was cheap garbage.  It was either SOFT cloisonne' which looks like someone painted the color in the pin, or the ever so popular, and ever so cheap printed pins that have a clear acrylic covering.

SO I personally went to one of the largest pin manufacturers and told them I wanted to have my own quality pin made with HARD Cloisonne' baked enamel color.  My demands were very specific, these pins had to be made with striking color and meticulous attention to detail.   (I had to actually tell them, "No you can't just use dots for stars, and YES there must be 50 stars, and 13 stripes !")

So I finally got 6 nice pins to wear on my lapels.  My wife said, "That's nice dear, what are you going to do with the other 6994 pins that are sitting there in those boxes?"

I thought to myself, "Surely I'm not the only Proud American that can't find a nice flag pin, and perhaps I could connect this little endeavor to help the children of our troops."
